Email Merge Set Up & Preview

We've updated some email merge features in the platform, both for when you send at an individual level and to a group of individuals.

So, if I were to select, for example, first 10 people in this list here, and I want to send them an email, you'll be taken to the same screen with the ability, as you could before, just to add a subject and the body.

And what you'll notice is that there are a few emails that will be sent recipient area. So what we've done is expose the entirety of the email to make it clear that the email is the one that you actually do want to send it to as opposed to where there are multiple options, not quite knowing which email

address that is going to be sent to. That's been changed. Um, consciously there's that sometimes this is sent to a large number of people.

We'll expose the first five with a view if you would like to see the entirety of that list in here, and then the option to collapse that and to keep this a bit tidier.

And there are a few then options for selecting which type of email you're sending to. For example, I can apply, um, campaign, constituency, ministerial or office email to all of those that have either all of those options to be applied.

Or, uh, for example, if we just pick office and only resides for people with an office address, then, uh, that will be changed here.

You can also then, if you want to, say you didn't want to send it to the office address of this person, change that to constituency.

Where there isn't an email available, uh, it will show you here that it doesn't have an email or record off that email.

So I can go and collapse that as well to tidy that up. I'll then also have the option to select a signature.

So you'll have a list here. If you had more than one, um, this will default to the default select signature that's been created in the settings area.

And once all that's compiled, uh, we've introduced a preview button that we used to have a test button, uh, but now it's a bit easier and quicker.

If you have a preview ability, you'll see who that is going to the subject line, the body of the email, and then what your email signature will look like at a glance.

So instead of having to wait for an email, um, from a test send, you can see it here straight away just before you do decide to send that email.
